Vinod Kerai is a consummate percussionist with over 20 years experience. He started out as a young child playing dholak in local temples and soon moved to Tabla, Dhol. and Latin percussion. 

His teachers included Shri Sanjib Pal and Ustad Yousuf Ali Khan, aswell as taking master classes with Pandit Shankar Ghosh, Pandit Nayan Ghosh and Satyajit Talwalker. 

Vinod is a versatile live performer and a consummate studio professional. He has performed with a wide variety of artists ranging from Hindustani Classical, to Fusion to Pop including Jah Wobble, the Grand Union Orchestra, Botown, Clem Alford, Jonathan Mayer, Ajay Srivastava, Imran Khan and Jay Sean. He has performed on BBC Asian Network aswell as BBC Live sessions and has performed at prestigious venues around the world including the Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scotts and La Salle des Etoiles (Monte Carlo).
